Guatapé, Antioquia
La Piedra del Peñol
At La Pierda del Peñol, I climbed 740 steps to reach the highest point. Going up was the hardest part, coming down was not so bad. Once I reached the top, there was a breathtaking view of Lago Embalse del Peñol. Taking pictures was one of my favorite things to do there!
Remember to wear light clothes because it gets pretty warm. Pack your self something to drink and a light snack just incase you begin to feel tired on your way up. Once you reach the top, there are people selling fresh fruit and ice cream to cool off!

Town of Guatapé
After we climbed La Piedra de Peñol we visited the town of Guatapé. The town is filled with vibrant colored homes and has beautiful cobble stoned roads. There are many shops to buy souvenirs and restaurants to eat cultural foods! It was cool that I got to see an unknown artist filming a music video through the town.
